[Letters to Stephen Munson and a copy of a letter from Stephen Munson to Samuel Slater, N. Providence, R.I.]. 1806-1816.

Correspondence concerns errors in billing made by Slater's company, a firm that sold yarn to the New Lebanon, N.Y., community. The letter dated November 10, 1806, was a draft; in it, Munson explained what was missing from a shipment. He was sending the money due by a messenger for fear the money, if mailed, would not reach Slater. Munson also informed the company that the New Lebanon community had recommended it to the Canterbury Shaker community. Slater & Co. replied to this letter on Nov. 19, and accepted the Shaker's account of what they had received, versus what had been billed to them. On October 4, 1816, Slater wrote to Munson about an error in another bill.
